Pricing and engagement

Before you hire a CMO, see what growth will actually take.

Most owners and partners are quoted a fee, then find out about the team, tools and ad spend nobody mentioned. We start with your problem, show you the full cost up front, and then give you the level of help it needs.

Fractional CMO

A senior leader who owns the plan, and answers for it.

For owners, partners and CEOs who are still making marketing decisions late at night. Your CMO sets the direction, manages the team and agencies, and tells you plainly what to stop.

Goal for the quarter: more qualified enquiries from the channels you already pay for.

Decide by week 4: keep the agency, or bring the work in-house.

A CMO on their own is a plan without hands. A team without a plan is busy, not effective.

That is why every engagement starts with the problem, and why we show you all four costs of growth before you sign. See the full cost

Projects and the first 90 days

Every engagement follows the same path.

Projects are priced on a written Scope of Work, because the cost depends on the tasks and the nature of the work. Retainers follow the same first steps, so you see the plan before the work starts.

Day 1

15-minute call

Your goal, your market, your deadline and the budget range you have in mind.

Days 2 to 14

Diagnose

We review your website, search presence, CRM, competitors and the path from enquiry to client.

Days 15 to 30

Plan in writing

Scope, milestones, fee, tools and ad spend in one document, with the measures we'll report on.

Days 31 to 90

Run and adjust

We deliver, report monthly and move effort to what's working. At day 90 you decide what comes next.

Typical projects: a two-week Growth Diagnostic, a 90-Day Growth Sprint, a website build or rebuild, a market-entry or launch campaign, a webinar series or a rebrand. Billing: 50% at signing and 50% on delivery, or by milestone.

Where to start

Start with the problem, not the package.

Pick the one that sounds most like your week. We'll tell you what usually fixes it, and what it doesn't need.

When referrals slow down

Referrals usually slow because the people who send work don't know exactly what you do now, and new clients searching online can't find you. The fix is steady visibility: a clear website, search and AI search presence, reviews, and regular content from the partners' own experience.

Usually starts with: Marketing Team, Growth plan

When you can't see what the agency brings

This is rarely about the agency working harder. Nobody on your side owns the numbers, so activity gets reported instead of enquiries and clients. What usually changes it is a senior person who owns the plan, sets the measures and manages the agency.

Usually starts with: Fractional CMO, Advisor or Embedded

When enquiries don't turn into clients

More leads won't help if the first response is slow, the follow-up is inconsistent or the CRM isn't set up. We look at the path from first contact to signed client, then fix the response, the follow-up and the tracking before adding spend.

Usually starts with: Project, Growth Diagnostic

When marketing depends on you

If every post, campaign and decision waits for you, marketing stops whenever you're busy with clients. You need a plan someone else can run, a team to run it, and a short monthly review where you make the decisions that only you can make.

Usually starts with: Fractional CMO + Team

When you're entering a new market

A launch in the US, UK, Canada or Australia needs research on buyers and competitors, positioning that sounds local, and a 90-day plan with a clear budget. Once it's running, you can keep a team on it or hand it to your own people.

Usually starts with: Project, then Marketing Team
The full cost of growth

Four things growth needs, and who pays for each.

This is where most marketing hires disappoint. Growth needs four things, and only some of them are a marketing fee. We set out all four before you commit, so marketing becomes a budget you chose rather than a cost that surprised you.

Our fee

Leadership

Someone senior who decides what to do, what to stop and how to measure it.

Our fee

Execution

The people and AI tools that build pages, write, design, edit video and run campaigns.

Paid by you, owned by you

Tools

CRM, website hosting, SEO and analytics software. We recommend only what your stage needs.

Paid by you, owned by you

Ad spend

Paid directly to Google, Meta or LinkedIn, so the accounts and data stay yours.

Leadership+Execution+Tools+Spend=One budget, agreed in writing

On ROI

We don't promise returns before we've seen your numbers. In the first 30 days we agree what we'll measure, take a baseline, and report against it every month. If a channel isn't working, we say so and move the money.

What your monthly report looks like

Questions owners ask

Common questions

How do I know this will pay for itself?

We won't promise a return before seeing your numbers. In the first 30 days we set a baseline (enquiries, cost per enquiry, consultations, clients) and agree targets with you. You see the same numbers every month, and you can stop after the minimum term if it isn't working.

What will I spend on top of your fee?

Usually software (CRM, hosting, SEO tools) and ad spend. Both are paid directly by you, so you own the accounts. The written plan lists every cost before you sign.

Do I need a CMO or a marketing team?

If nobody owns the plan and the numbers, start with a CMO. If you know what you want done but lack the hands, start with a team. If both are missing, CMO + Team covers it under one contract. The 15-minute call is there to work this out.

Do you work across time zones?

Yes. We work with clients in the US, UK, Canada and Australia, with meetings scheduled in your working hours. Fees are billed in USD, and we can quote GBP, CAD or AUD on request.

Who records the videos?

You do, on your phone or camera. We write the scripts, send a simple recording guide, and handle editing, captions and versions for each platform.

Is there a minimum term?

Every retainer and subscription starts with a 3-month term, paid upfront, because that is how long a 90-day plan takes to show results. After that it runs month to month with 30 days' notice.

Tell us what's stuck. We'll tell you what it takes.

A 15-minute call with a senior member of our team. No pitch deck, just your problem and an honest view of the options. We take on a small number of new clients at a time, so we'll tell you when we can start.
